in the attic Lab I had an 8 way VGA splitter a very cool piece of kit even with crts it looked awesome. from left to right two huge cardboard boxes used to deliver 2/8 17inch DEll CRT monitors, HP4000N with duplux unit. www.lan (Apache HTTPD on debian Linux ), www2.lan (apache HTTPD on CentOs Linux), spare Beige chassis underneath Desk, 4 port KVM placed just beneath new widescreen dell 17inch (I think) TFT (Thin Film Transistor) screen, dev.lan ubuntu Linux box used for java development using netbeans JDK j2ee tomcat(the lnux with the best specced hardware of the machines shown here, q6600 intel (quad CPU, this was a super CPU and still lives toda=y just not used just now) 8GB of RAM at least one 1TB Root Partition) machine was also used for ripping DVD's to avi or mp4 using ogmrip. also used for, next of the black chassis is the db1.lan (mysql server OpenSuse Linux), the big chassis at the end was the original home for the Abit BP6 motherboard that I recently posted shared a video about on my Facebook page. very cool Motherboard. the next desk housed the NAS.lan and ftp.lan, can't remember which linux Distro was used but might have been Debian or some flavour of Debian. used MDAM for software raid 5 using 4 * 1TB in a nice big ANTEC chassis also ran ProFTP to host FTP. there was a epson inkjet just in case. at the bottom is a 16 way network switch in case I needed more. I would often plug laptop into this when I needed to check laptop network card.
